‘Student Spotlight’ Submission Guidelines

International Fiber Journal’s “Student Spotlight” column highlights outstanding achievements from the world of academia. Submit your research and accomplishments for consideration as an IFJ “Student Spotlight,” and get noticed by leading companies serving the fiber, technical textile and nonwoven industries worldwide.

“Student Spotlight” appears in every issue of IFJ (six times per year), on its companion website fiberjournal.com, and in the IFJ “Insider” eNewsletter. To submit your work for consideration as a “Student Spotlight,” please provide the following materials:

  1. 100-200 word description of your academic institution, interests and current studies in areas related to filtration. How did you come to have an interest in your chosen field of study?
  2. 200-300 word description of your research in areas related to filtration. What is compelling about your research and the resulting findings?
  3. 200-300 word description of your career goals in the near-term, as well as long-term professional aspirations. Where do you see yourself upon completion of your current studies? Where do you see yourself 5-10 years into the future as you progress in your career?
  4. Please provide a high-res headshot and companion visuals to highlight your academic work. Visuals could include photos of lab work, field testing, figures or charts showcasing different elements of your research, or photos from your participation at industry events. All images should be high-res (300 dpi in JPG, TIF, EPS or PDF format) and include a 1-2 sentence caption.

Send materials to Matt Migliore at mmigliore@inda.media for consideration. We look forward to receiving your “Student Spotlight” submission.
